How Inmodir selects and ranks agencies

Our data sources, inclusion rules, ranking method, update process and corrections policy.

This page explains exactly how Inmodir builds its listings and guides, so you can judge how much weight to give them.

1. Data sources

  • Public business listings, including Google Maps data: name, address, coordinates, phone, website, categories, opening hours, average rating and number of ratings.
  • The agency’s own website, which we link to from each listing.
  • User and owner submissions through our contact form, which we review manually before applying.

We do not publish private data and we do not copy reviews. Ratings are shown as a number and a count only.

2. Inclusion rules

A agency is listed when it matches the directory’s subject, has a verifiable location and was active in the public sources when collected. Duplicates are merged, and businesses reported or detected as permanently closed are removed. City and country pages are only published when they contain enough listings to be useful; places in very small markets are not given thin, empty pages.

3. How lists and “best of” guides are ranked

Our city guides order agencies by rating combined with review volume (average rating multiplied by the logarithm of the number of ratings). This stops a perfect score from three reviews outranking a strong score from hundreds. Listing pages may also be sorted by name, distance or rating at your choice.

Rank is never for sale. We do not accept payment, free services or gifts in exchange for a listing, a better position or a favourable description.

4. How often data is refreshed

The directory is rebuilt from fresh data on a regular basis. Hours, ratings and contact details can change between updates, so treat them as a starting point and confirm with the agency.

5. What ratings do and do not mean

Ratings and review counts come from public platforms and reflect customer opinions at the time of collection. They are not our own test results, audits or inspections.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax or financial advice. Check fees, contracts and professional registration directly with the agency and, where relevant, a qualified adviser.

6. Corrections and complaints

If something is wrong, tell us through the contact form with the agency name, the page URL and the correction. We investigate, and we correct or remove information we can show to be inaccurate.

7. Independence

Inmodir is an independent publication. See how we fund it in our advertising and affiliate disclosure.
